We’re big on recycling!
Our 97 KFC stores up and down the country have been committed to recycling for many years now.
Two of the biggest potential waste products in our industry are packaging and cooking oil – and we have programmes in place to recycle both.
At every store, cardboard, paper and packaging is sorted, compacted and collected each week for recycling (80 percent ends up being recycled). We hope making all our cardboard packaging recyclable – and clearly labelling it that way – will encourage people to take the next step and start recycling at home where they can.
Working with Environmental Recovery Services New Zealand Ltd (ERS), we are proud to recycle 85 percent of our cooking oil.
We take our recycling efforts very seriously and have ongoing monitoring in place to make sure our recycling programmes are running as they should.
